MGG Polymers sources its raw materials across Europe, mainly from recycling centres that largely recycle electrical waste (EAR – national register for waste electric equipment) but also old vehicles. MGG Polymer’s direct sourcing from recyclers ensures the availability of raw materials for continuous production.
The majority of our raw materials comes from the processing of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). We take mixed plastics in various grain sizes and degrees of purity. These plastic-rich fractions stem among others from waste appliances such as vacuum cleaners, telecommunication devices, receivers, toys etc. The plastic mixtures may be contaminated to an extent by metals, rubber, foam, wood etc. Each of these mixtures is first analysed in our laboratory to determine if we can process it in our facilities. We additionally purchase ground material for the further processing steps. These fractions are either pure types of ABS or PP or mixed ground material consisting of ABS/PP or PP/PE.
